Detergent drawers often collect soap residue, fabric softener buildup, and mold because water stays trapped inside. Here’s a simple deep-clean method.

What you need:

• Warm water
• White vinegar
• Old toothbrush or small brush
• Microfiber cloth

Steps:

1. Remove the detergent drawer
   • Pull it out as far as it goes.
   • Press the release button/tab (if your machine has one).
   • Remove the drawer.
2. Soak it
   • Fill a bowl or sink with warm water.
   • Add 1 cup white vinegar.
   • Soak the drawer for 20–30 minutes.
3. Scrub the buildup
   • Use a toothbrush to clean:
     • Corners
     • Small holes
     • Fabric softener compartment
4. Clean the drawer slot
   • Wipe inside the machine opening with a damp cloth.
   • Use a brush for hidden residue.
5. Dry and reinstall
   • Rinse the drawer with clean water.
   • Dry it completely.
   • Put it back in place.
